Notes on data processing in connection with Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. If the controller responsible for data processing on this website is located outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, Google Analytics data processing is carried out by Google LLC. Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited are referred to below as “Google”.
Google Analytics uses “cookies”, i.e. text files stored on the visitor’s computer, which make it possible to analyse how visitors use the website. The information generated by the cookie about the use of this website by the visitor (including the truncated IP address) is generally transmitted to a Google server and stored there.
Google Analytics is used on this website only with the “_anonymizeIp()” extension. This extension ensures that IP addresses are anonymised by truncation and prevents direct identification of individuals. As a result, the IP address is truncated by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. The IP address transmitted by the browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.
On behalf of the website operator, Google will use this information to evaluate website usage, compile reports on website activity, and provide further services related to website and internet usage (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The legitimate interest in processing lies in optimising this website, analysing website usage, and tailoring content. Users’ interests are sufficiently protected through pseudonymisation.
Google LLC provides assurances, based on Standard Contractual Clauses, to maintain an adequate level of data protection. Data sent and linked to cookies, user identifiers (e.g. User ID) or advertising IDs is automatically deleted after 50 months. Deletion of data whose retention period has expired takes place automatically once per month.
Data collection by Google Analytics can be prevented by adjusting the cookie settings for this website. You may also object at any time, with effect for the future, to the collection and storage of the IP address and the data generated by cookies. The corresponding browser plug-in can be downloaded and installed at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
Visitors can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting data on this website by clicking the opt-out link provided on the website. An opt-out cookie will be set, preventing future collection of your data when you visit this website.
Further information on Google’s data usage, settings and objection options can be found in Google’s Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and in Google’s ad settings (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated).
reCAPTCHA
To protect your enquiries via online forms, we use the reCAPTCHA service provided by Google LLC (“Google”). The purpose is to distinguish whether an entry is made by a human or through abusive automated, machine processing. This check includes transmitting the IP address and, where applicable, other data required by Google for reCAPTCHA to Google. For this purpose, your input is transmitted to Google and processed there. However, within EU Member States or other EEA contracting states, your IP address is truncated by Google beforehand. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of this service. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of reCAPTCHA is not merged with other Google data. Different Google privacy provisions apply to this processing. Google Tag Manager
This website uses Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager is a solution that allows marketers to manage website tags via an interface. The Tag Manager tool itself (which implements the tags) is a cookie-less domain and does not collect any personal data. The tool triggers other tags, which may in turn collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivation has been implemented at the domain or cookie level, this deactivation remains in effect for all tracking tags implemented via Google Tag Manager.
